Most persistent drain issues in Northampton are tree roots in older properties or build-up from kitchens. Both fixable. If yours has gone twice in a year, get the CCTV survey — it's £225 and tells us what's actually happening underground.
Drain kit
Manual rods (every length), electric eel for the stubborn ones, jetter via partners if we have to.
Right tools
I've got the kit to clear it from the access first. Tearing up pipework is last resort.
On-call
Slow drains escalate fast. I prioritise drain calls so they don't become emergencies.
Blocked drain — internal, external, or you don't know which yet. I rod, jet and CCTV-survey as needed. Most blockages cleared first visit. If it's a persistent issue (tree roots, broken pipe, collapsed section), I'll CCTV-survey and give you a written report on what needs doing next.
Clean work
Manual rods first. Cover the access, work the blockage, water flowing — without lifting a slab.
If it's hidden
If it isn't a simple rod job, I bring the kit to find it without ripping pipework out.
Beyond drains
External taps, gutter overflows, outdoor showers — bring me the photo.
